Our Instrument Donation Policy
As SoM’s musical instrument inventory is well stocked with limited storage, we can only accept musical instrument donations on a case by case basis, based on the quality and assessed need of specific item(s) offered in donation.
*Note, we currently are not able to accept any acoustic pianos.
We consider donations of high quality professional audio equipment (recording gear, PA equipment, microphones, amplifiers, etc.) as well as instruments. We do not generally accept wind (clarinet, oboe, etc.) or string (violin, viola, etc.) instruments.
Donations are tax deductible to the extent of current tax law. Your donations will be utilized where and how it will make the greatest impact to our programs and students.
Donors are responsible to deliver donated items to SoM in working condition.
